ABOUT PROJECT

Samsung SmartThings Print Ad Series

This project involved designing a print ad campaign for Samsung to promote the seamless connectivity of its smart home appliances through the SmartThings ecosystem. The focus was to visually communicate how SmartThings, combined with AI Energy Mode, enables users to manage their home efficiently, intuitively, and with energy-saving intelligence. The concept was built around the idea of connected convenience — smart living made simple and sustainable.

The campaign consisted of a three-part ad series, each piece showcasing a different aspect of the SmartThings experience — from automated routines to real-time energy optimization. I crafted the visual language to reflect a balance of modern sophistication and everyday relatability. Clean layouts, futuristic yet warm imagery, and product-context integration were essential to conveying the message clearly and attractively.

Throughout the design process, I leveraged Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator to create high-resolution, print-ready visuals that maintained consistency across various formats and placements. Each ad was tailored for different viewing environments, including in-store displays and mall advertising units, both indoors and outdoors — ensuring visual impact regardless of scale or location.

The campaign was launched across Samsung retailers and major shopping centers, where it successfully engaged a broad consumer base. The clarity of the message, combined with thoughtful design, contributed to increased awareness of Samsung's smart ecosystem and its AI-powered energy efficiency features. The series played a key role in supporting the brand’s positioning as a leader in connected home innovation.
